A local showing of new media works produced at SCA Rozelle
by Michael Petchkovsky.
A studio style presentation of the recent body
of work 'Wave form, wave function' produced by Michael Petchkovsky whilst
researching a Masters of Fine Art at Sydney College of the Arts. For one
evening, on the new exhibition space The SLAB in Hazelbrook. These works
examine relational dynamics in the new media and electronic arts. Kinetic and
responsive sculpture and installation leverages laser light, electrostatic
forces and vector computer graphics to blur the lines of where we stand with
regard to our personal devices, and to suggest that we actively re-program and
re-purpose our technologies to tell other stories.
